Propel Advanced 2 / White

The Giant Propel Advanced 2 in White is a masterclass in aerodynamic efficiency designed for riders who want to maximize their speed on the road without stepping into the astronomical prices of the pro peloton. Built around Giant’s meticulously engineered Advanced-Grade Composite frame, this bike utilizes AeroSystem Shaping Technology—meaning every tube shape and angle was optimized using computational fluid dynamics and wind-tunnel testing to slice through the air with minimal drag. The pure "White" colourway offers a striking, incredibly clean aesthetic that perfectly highlights the bike's aggressive, wind-cheating silhouette, making it a standout choice for high-speed group rides, breakaways, and sprint finishes.

Beyond its slippery frame, this model shines thanks to its smart, highly functional component integration and modern road geometry. The completely redesigned two-piece Contact SL Aero cockpit routes the cables stealthily through the handlebar and stem, hiding them from the wind while still allowing for much easier maintenance and position adjustments than a fully one-piece system. Power delivery is handled by the ultra-reliable, latest-generation Shimano 105 12-speed mechanical groupset, offering a massive gear range and crisp, precise shifting. Paired with flat-mount hydraulic disc brakes for confident descending and room for up to 32mm tubeless tires, the Propel Advanced 2 proves that a dedicated aero bike can still be comfortable, controllable, and highly practical for everyday training.

Key Highlights

• AeroSystem Shaping: Every tube profile—from the truncated ellipse shapes of the down tube to the bladed Vector seatpost—is engineered to minimize drag at a wide range of yaw angles, giving you a measurable aerodynamic advantage at speed.

• OverDrive Aero Steerer & Cockpit: The D-shaped fork steerer tube and specially designed spacers route the brake hoses and derailleur cables entirely inside the frame. This cleans up the airflow at the front of the bike while maintaining a highly stiff steering interface.

• Shimano 105 12-Speed Mechanical: The latest iteration of Shimano's workhorse 105 groupset offers the same 12-speed gear progression as their top-tier electronic systems. The 11-36T cassette paired with a 36/52T crankset gives you plenty of top-end speed for sprints, plus a forgiving "bailout" gear for steep climbs.

• Tire Clearance & Compliance: Unlike older aero bikes that were notoriously harsh, the modern Propel frame allows for up to 32mm wide tires. Coming set up with 28c tubeless tires right out of the box, it effectively absorbs road chatter, reducing rider fatigue over long distances.

• Giant Vector Seatpost: This proprietary carbon seatpost saves weight, improves aerodynamics, and offers an adjustable offset (-5mm or +15mm) so you can perfectly dial in your saddle position for maximum power transfer.
